A Quiet Moment

Happiness tiptoes,

Weary of the eggshells below,

Lest one should crack, my guilt ridden soul.

Words boil over,

My pot-lidded mouth,

Evaporating in thin air,

As liquid drops, drip south.

A moment of bliss,

Peaceful serenity I should steal,

In the wake of the tide,

On a day so surreal.
